Makueni Governor, Prof Kivutha Kibwana has now joined the league of milk producers with the commissioning of the Kikima Dairy Plant on Thursady, January 10th.
Kikima plant has a capacity to process and pack 300 litres per hour and 6600 litres in a day.
Kikima Dairy Farmers Cooperative Society which owns the facility has a ready market for the product MAKUENI FRESH milk, among them Mulleys, Naivas, plus other local whole sellers.
Makueni Fresh Milk
Makueni produces 18 Million litres of milk annually against a demand of 340Million litres which guarantees market for makueni fresh.
Governor kibwana has said the milk will also be sold to neighboring ukambani counties with an aim of making the milk a national product in the near future.
