Makueni Member of National Assembly Hon. Daniel Kitonga Maanzo has brutally attacked Makueni Governor Prof. Kivutha Kibwana over his recent decision to step into presidential race come 2022 terming the move as a step to split Ukambani votes.
Speaking over the weekend at Mathemba in Makueni Sub County at a fundraising ceremony, Maanzo challenged Kibwana to quit office to pave way for fresh gubernatorial elections.
He said that Kibwana has hidden plans to split Akamba votes in an attempt to switch off Wiper leader Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka’s presidential dream.
“We shall work with those who are ready to work for the community, you won’t spoil Ukambani votes,” Maanzo told Kibwana.
Maanzo extended his finger of blame to Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua who he said seems less concerned about the state of water at Athi River,that serves as the main lifeline across the three adjacent Ukambani counties where cuts through.He threatened to take Mutua into court if his administration fails to purify the dirty water in one month time.
He further openly assured that the two wont block Kalonzo’s ascension into power by any means come 2022.
