Police in Kibwezi, Makueni county have launched a man hunt for a teacher who allegedly defiled a fifteen year old girl.
According to Ben Chagulo, police boss Kibwezi the suspect commited the treacherous act last saturday and fled.
On the fateful day the man is said to have lured the class eight girl and defiling her.
Chagulo said that the man is at large and the police are searching for him in every nook and cranny to ensure he’s apprehended and brought to book for the said act.
“We will leave no stone unturned until the perpetrator is nabbed and brought to book“, Said Chagulo.
He said that the law won’t be lenient for anyone found violating rights of children.
“Anyone found guilty of defilement will surely have to face the law,the law os very clear on sexual crimes”, He said
He warned residents against with defilers and instead report such cases to the authorities.
He said that anyone found covering up such cases legal action will be taken against him/her.
Cases of defilement have increased in the country where leaders have been calling out for stringent measures be taken against those found guilty.
Poverty and out of court settlement have pointed out to be the major cause of such cases.
Two weeks ago a suspect involved in the defilement ring of a class six girl was sentenced to life imprisonment by Kilungu law courts.
The man was among 26 men alleged to have defiled the girl.
In the same court a middle aged man accused of defiling daughter was slapped with a 80 year imprisonment.
