A school girl from Kwandolo, Kilungu in Kaiti constituency Makueni county who was allegedly raped by 21 men in different occasions has named the perpetrators of her odeal.
Shock engulfed the area after the standard six girl narrated the sad act.
According to the parents of the girl, their daughter had tried several times to have an abortion following a pregnancy that was sired when she was raped.
Some of the suspects behind the heinous act are a local teacher and a government official.
The teacher has already been arrested and arraigned in court where he was send to remand after failing to raise a Sh500,000 bond.
Kilungu sub-county commissioner Daniel Ndege has also confirmed that the file of three other suspects have already been presented in court awaiting prosecution and police officers are hunting for the remaining officers.
“Their are already three whom we have evidence, there is a teacher mentioned, a boda boda rider and others… very soon some will be arraigned in court” Ndege said while addressing parents at Kwandolo Primary.
Kaiti MP Joshua Kimilu has said that he will make sure that the suspects are arraigned to court warning any public officer who may want to disrupt the case.
“We don’t want to hear questions of why leaders are dragging this case, we want to here the case have progressed from the chief’s office to the police, from Kilome to the court” Kimilu said.
The MP has promised to follow up the case to the end.
The mother of the girl said that some of the suspects have already tried to bribe her with Sh10,000 to drop the case which she has declined.
