Police in Kibwezi Sub County, Makueni County are investigating an incident where a woman’s body was found in a guest house at Mtito Andei.
The middle aged woman was found lying in the room by workers who came in the morning to clean the place.
Confirming the incidence, the Makindu area chief Paul Luvai, said that the woman had been spotted the previous night in a night party at a club in Mtito Andei but could not tell what happened when she went to sleep leading to her death.
“She Came here recently, she has not even completed a month here. She was seen at a night party dancing, no one knows whether she was alone or with someone else”, Luvai said
On his side Kibwezi Deputy OCPD Geofrey Nderitu has said that police officers in the area are carrying out investigations to determine the cause of the lady’s death.
“There was a sudden death in Mtito, there is a lady known by one name as Muthoni who was found in a lodging dead” Nderitu confirmed.
Nderitu has added that the body of the lady was taken to Makindu Mortuary.
“She is about 25 years, her body has been taken to Makindu Mortury and investigations have kicked off” Nderitu added.
