Tragedy has hit Makueni county in form of suspected dam water poisoning that claimed the lives of at least 40 cows, goats and sheep on 3rd, January 2018.
The sad tale of over 20 cows, 18 sheep and goats occurred at Ngaamba area in Mukaa after the domestic animals had allegedly drunk water from Nthambi dam.
Confirming the incident, Ngaamba sub-location assistant chief Sammy Muthoka, said that the dam has been a source of water used communally, adding that such an odd happening has never been witnessed before.
